Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do you have a studio?

No. We almost always create beautiful family portraits on location – in your home or at a place that is
special to you and your family.

We believe that photography is about catching the emotions that have meaning to you – and we just
don't believe you'll ever have much of an emotional attachment to a photographer's studio.

By not having a studio and the high overhead costs associated with a brick and mortar structure, we are
also able to offer you outstanding values … for example, many studios in this area routinely charge as
much as $80 for a single 8” x 10” print. Our charge for a single 8” x 10” print is only $19.95.

2. Why do you like to shoot on location?

Photography is about capturing the emotions. The laughter and tears of joy, the love and fun that
families share over the years. We believe the best family portraits create those meaningful images
in locations where you are most comfortable, where you have built memories for a lifetime. Wherever
that is – that's where we want to be too.

3. What do you mean by “environmental” portraits?

We refer to our style of family photography as “environmental” portraiture, meaning, we want to
capture some of the environment in your images … to show where you live … or work … or play.

4. Why do you shoot with digital cameras?

We believe the new generation of digital cameras allows us the ultimate in creative freedom. We
use the new Sony Alpha which was the 2006 “Camera of the Year”. If you want color or black and
white … or even sepia tone images – we can create those for you – with one digital “negative”. We
also know immediately if we got the shot.

5. Who owns the negatives?

We are somewhat unique with this right now because we give YOU the digital “negatives”. You own
them along with all the rights to make your own prints with them. No longer are your negatives held
hostage – forcing you to buy prints only from the photographer who shot them – and who charges
you an arm and a leg to get a print made.

Because you own the images, you can take the disk we provide and have your own prints made. It
is your choice! This is a great value for you!

6. Do you have any specials right now?

YES! Thanks for asking. Right now we are featuring a family session that offers the following:

SPECIAL OFFER

This month, we are offering a “Family Portrait Special” that includes up to 50 high-definition images
on a computer CD … and one, 11” x 14” matted and framed portrait! All this, for only $295 plus tax.
(This is a savings of $200 over our regular family portrait price.)

Because you'll own all the digital images, you can make your own prints of as many poses as you
wish. (Of course, we are happy to make prints for you if you prefer.)

Just call us at: 253.579.4040

7. Do you accept credit cards?

YES. We accept VISA and MASTERCARD. Checks and cash are also great!

8. When do you typically schedule family sessions?

We like to shoot family portraits on a Saturday – because it is usually a little more relaxed and we
can create images that may take a little time to set up. During the summer months, we can also
schedule an evening shoot and capture some of that golden late afternoon sun.

9. What's really important in our family session?

In large part, that's for you to decide. For us? Well, we think capturing the emotion that exists
between the family members is most important. When we see that, we will have created a lasting
memory for years to come.
